🍫 Chocolate Around the World

What is your favorite type of cookie? How about your favorite type of cake? Many people have the same answer to these questions: chocolate! People all over the world love chocolate. It is a big part of life in many countries.

Philippines

In the Philippines, making chocolate is an important way for people to work and make money. National Geographic Explorer Louise Mabulo started The Cacao Project to help farmers learn to grow cacao. People use cacao to make chocolate. The Cacao Project helps farmers take care of their farms for the future.

India

In India, many people celebrate with chocolate. Diwali, the festival of lights, is an important holiday. People celebrate new beginnings. They often give each other boxes of beautiful chocolates or sweets.

France

Many people in France eat chocolate. But some people also wear it! Salon du Chocolat is the biggest chocolate festival in the world. There is a show where people wear clothes made of chocolate.
