To ask questions in the past with the verb to be, we just flip the sentence order. Look how easy it is to change from the present to the past:
Present: 🌟 Is the concert good?
Past: 🎸 Was the concert good?
Present: 🗺️ Where are you?
Past: 🕵️♂️ Where were you?
🎮 1. Yes / No Questions
⚡ Was / Were + Person/Thing + …?
• Was I / he / she / it good? → Yes, it was. / No, it wasn’t.
• Were you / we / they there? → Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t.
🕵️♀️ 2. Information Questions
⚡ Question Word + was / were + Subject?
• 🗺️ Where was the concert?
• 🎵 What was the name of that song?
• 🎤 Who were the members of the band?
